Privacy policy

Last updated 16 August 2026

This site does not use cookies, does not run analytics, and has no forms, no accounts and no tracking pixels. That makes this a short document, and everything below is a description of what actually happens rather than a list of things we reserve the right to do.

Who is responsible

Ottermate is the trading name of Tibor Vesselényi, an independent automation consultant, and is the controller of any personal data described here.

Email hello@ottermate.org for anything to do with this policy, including a request to exercise the rights listed below.

What this website collects

Nothing directly. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no comment box and no login. Nothing you do on this site is stored on it.

Specifically, this site sets no cookies, uses no analytics of any kind, and carries no advertising or social media tracking pixels. Your browser is not asked to store anything, which is also why you are not shown a cookie banner. There is nothing to consent to.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data as part of delivering a page to you and protecting the site from attack. That includes your IP address, the time of the request, the page requested, and your browser's user agent string.

This is a technical necessity of serving a website rather than a choice made here, it happens for every visitor, and there is no access to it in a form that identifies anyone. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a working and secure website. Cloudflare's own handling of that data is described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Google Fonts

This is the one thing on the page that reaches a third party, so it is worth stating plainly. The site loads two typefaces, Inter and Playfair Display, from Google's font servers. Your browser therefore makes a request to fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com when you open a page, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

No cookie is set by this and it is not used to identify you here. If you would rather it did not happen at all, a content blocker will stop it and the site remains fully readable in a fallback typeface. Google's handling is described in the Google privacy policy.

Links that leave this site

Two links take you somewhere else: the booking button, which opens a scheduling page on cal.eu, and the LinkedIn profile link. Nothing is embedded from either service, so no data goes to them unless you click through, and once you do you are on their site under their privacy policy rather than this one.

If you email or book a call

When you send an email, the message and your address are kept for as long as needed to answer you and to keep a record of the work, on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract. When you book a call, the scheduling service collects the name, email address and time you give it, and passes them on so the meeting can happen.

None of it is sold, rented, or used to build a profile, and none of it goes into any advertising system. There is no automated decision-making and no automated profiling anywhere in this.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask to restrict or object to how it is used, and ask to receive it in a portable form. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Email hello@ottermate.org and you will get an answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you have the right to complain to your national data protection supervisory authority.

Changes to this policy

If this changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
